Evergrande Women’s Volleyball beat Fujian in three straight sets yesterday afternoon, continuing to lead the league with eight-game winning streak after the ninth round.

The contest was the highlight of this round in that “Lang’s Team” got a bitter victory over Fujian who was viewed as a threat to the Langs after five sets in the second round, and the fans wait in great expectation for Chen Zhonghe, the former coach of Chinese National Team and now supervisor of Fujian Team, and Lang Ping’s “happy meeting” in Guangzhou after that in Xiamen last time.

However, Chen reluctantly didn’t appear in the Guangzhou venue and Fujian’s performance was not as remarkable as in the first round of contest. Except in the middle of the third set they had the score on the lead, the rest were to narrow the difference with the opponent's points, while Evergrande won with little effort at 25:18, 25:17 and 25:18.

There was a completely different scene in the contest for the two sides after one month. After the game the coach Lang disclosed two reasons to beat the rival: to be fully prepared and to take service as breakthrough. She said: “Fujian had a very good performance in the first contest, so we carefully studied their vedios of games and tactics before the game. In addition, we have made some special arrangements of service.”

The next contest for Evergrande is to encounter Yunnan at home in January 9, who temporarily ranks second in the league table.
