¥1.5 million prize to Lang’s Army

At 7 o’clock last night, the banquet celebrating the success into Group A was to start in the large meeting hall of Evergrande club shining with crystal lights. However, as the “heroine” of the banquet Lang remained quiet and relaxed, with a smile to the media, “I’m quite satisfied with the overall performance of the team. At this moment I should congratulate all the players, and thank the Management Center for their support and other teams for feeding so many players to us…I feel little stress in Evergrande because the players are great and professional, who enjoy the game and need little care.” Considering the goal of the new season and participation of the veterans, Lang apparently would not like to press herself to much, saying flatly, “Do not be haste.”

The banquet was held with a simple procedure and in an easy-going atmosphere. “Look, it’s you!” warned Harmotto’s teammate, and the American big girl who engaged herself in eating screamed when she saw her figures in the video. Zhou Suhong kept laughing when she heard Zhang Bin’s (one of CCTV’s Oprahs) sensational introduction. Feng Kun extended her tongue when she received the ¥1.5 million “year-end prize”……The difficult season ended and everyone was released from the nervous atmosphere created by Lang.

Chen as a guest stole the show

At night when a number of big shots turned up, the atmosphere moved upward. An American journalist was so excited by the occasion that he repeated one word—“surprise”, and the young player Yin Meng couldn’t keep herself quiet, photographing throughout the time. Among these Chen Zhonghe-the vice director of Fujian Sport Bureau and former coach of Chinese National Team was the big shot of these big shots.

“First I’d like to congratulate Lang and Evergrande. Lang is excellent so it’s no surprise to have such good results. Congratulations to them.” Just after he was “interrogated” by some media, Mr. Chen was called again before he could sit down, “I also hope that more enterprises will stand out to help Chinese women’s volleyball in the future…” It was seen by the reporter that in the full ten minutes Mr. Chen didn’t have time to even taste the bowl of noodles before him. After that, Chen was put into the endless photographing, even when he went out for smoking he could not escape from the volleyball fans.

Xu Li, director of Volleyball Management Center, viewed more comprehensively. When he offered his good wishes to Evergrande, he said frankly that he hoped this phenomenon would not be a flash in the pan and Evergrande’s pioneering was a helpful attempt for Chinese volleyball and wished them to do better.

Lang Gives No Forecast of the Contest against America

Morning News Guangzhou special (special correspondent Liu Ying) Although this season is over, Lang’s Army who’s “expecting more games” will offer another wonderful match to the fans. Today they will challenge the active American team.

The coaches of the two teams give no definite idea about expectation of the match. Lang says “It’s difficult to predict” while Maccutcheon says frankly “We’re expecting it”. It was thought that Evergrande’s foreign aide Davis, who is kept intermediate between the two teams, would keep silent, but she surprisingly tells the truth, “American team may be physically better than our rivals in the league, but they are relatively young and inexperienced, and perhaps not accustomed to Asian style. If we make good use of service and pass, the advantage should be ours.” It is said that Evergrande has beaten its rival at 3-1 in the two warm-up matches, which puts them in psychological advantage.
