The news of South Daily (journalist/Wang Fang): Last night, the "derby in Guangdong" was performed again in the National Women's Volleyball League Matches. Guangdong EWVT, as a visiting team, played with Guangdong Jianlong Women’s Volleyball Team in Taishan, and finally defeated the host team at 3:1. EWVT which has a 10-game winning streak also became a Division-A team in three rounds’ advance.
The match is undoubtedly a match of the service. The service and the return of service directly influence the result of the match. The starting lineup of Guangdong EWVT has changed compared with the previous one. Wang Lina, the former ace spiker of the national team, unexpectedly played in the position of libero, which was surprising to people. In the first set of the match, Guangdong team was in disadvantage situation because of the unsuccessful first passes, and could not organize effective attack. But with the pertinent service and the attack of Yin Yin, EWVT easily won the first set at 25:12.
In the second set, the first passes of Guangdong team had obviously been improved, and the service is considerably targeting. In the service round of Kang Yujie, she won 4 points for her team by taking advantage of the weak points in the first passes of Yang Hao, thus puting Guangdong team ahead of EWVT at 13:9. After that, EWVT tenaciously tried to catch up, and the score reached 20:22 at one time. But EWVT still lost the first set at 20:25 with muffs for several times soon afterwards.
Although Guangdong team won a set, in the third set, they got into condition which was the same as that at the beginning of the match. EWVT won the third set at 25:15. In the fourth set, Guangdong team was performing tenaciously. They caught up for several time in the condition of deficit. But at the final stage, because of the muffs of service and attack for several times, Guangdong team lost one more set at 18:25. After winning this Derby, EWVT realized the goal of becoming a Division-A team in three rounds’ advance.
