Guangdong Evergrande Women’s Volleyball Team (“EWVT”) held a news conference on 11th in Guangzhou. It is announced that “EWVT” will have a dual meet against US women’s volleyball team on February 2 in Guangzhou Gymnasium which can hold 9000 audiences. And this is also the first time in history that China’s volleyball club team plays against a foreign national team.

The chief coach of US women’s volleyball team was the gold medal coach who led US men’s volleyball team to win the champion of Beijing Olympic Game. There are also world superstars in this team. Lang Ping has coached both China and US women’s volleyball teams. The current “EWVT” have Feng Kun, Zhou Suhong, and Yang Hao, etc. who were the former players of national team. During this dual meet, “EWVT” which Lang Ping currently coaches will play against US women’s volleyball team which she once coached. So it has high watching focus. It is said that this game is realized through Lang Ping’s connections.

Last year, the news that “Iron Hammer” Lang Ping came back to China and coached Guangdong Evergrande Women’s Volleyball Team aroused much repercussion in the country once it’s spread, and it also made the cool National Volleyball League Series B become excited. At present, “EWVT” has won all the nine games they had taken part in so far, and they basically lock down the eligibility of being promoted to Series League A of next season.

Lang Ping said that the game between “EWVT” and US women volleyball team would create a new model for the development of China’s volleyball clubs. The dual meet with international strong teams can improve our own tactics level; promote the development of China’s volleyball, and create better atmosphere of volleyball market. In the future, “EWVT” will invite some other world powerful teams to play out matches. And of course, we will also visit foreign countries for matches.
