In the afternoon of March 11, the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 12th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in the Great Hall of the People, and 299 Standing Committee Members were elected.
       Among such 299 members, some are members of Communist Party of China (CPC), some are members of other democratic parties, and some are working in several fields such as economy, agriculture, culture, and arts, which show that such Committee is representative and inclusive.
       Generally, the title of a standing committee member of CPPCC is equal to a Minster, and most of the CPC members selected as the standing committee members are leaders at provincial or ministerial level. However, during this election, HuiKaYan, Board Chairman of Evergrande Real Estate Group, was also elected, who is the only entrepreneur of private business, and also the only one working in economic field among such 299 members.
       Actually, the political investigation and screening for selecting the standing committee members of CPPCC are really strict, and the candidate from private business who can be selected only when he/she has strong political quality and has made contribution recognized by the country. Therefore, if he/she can be selected, he/she can be named as the “Accredited Business Leader”, and HuiKaYan can be named as such title already. Furthermore, as the boss of Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club, the champion team of CSL (Chinese Football Association Super League), and the biggest investor during the history of Chinese football, HuiKaYan has already become the spokesman of Chinese football, and could even raise more suggestions and advices on development of Chinese football after such election.
