Evergrande football players acted as elite judges,The Media Jury was comprised of nine major media including Yangcheng Evening News.

On December 28, Evergrande Idol, a large high-quality variety show sponsored by Evergrande Group and co-organized by Guangzhou TV Station, Guangzhou Group for Radio, Film, and Television, and Evergrande Performance Troupe, was recorded as video for the first time. Four football players of Evergrande Football Club, including Feng Renliang, Li Shuai, Wu Pingfeng, and Gao Zhilin, were elite judges for the show.

Evergrande Idol offers a stage for common people to show themselves and achieve their dreams. Contestants with various features, including a martial artist, a dancer, a beautiful singer, a young magician, a middle-aged stunt singer, and a retired aunt, and even a little lovely girl studying at the fifth grade, presented their performance at the first show. Finally, three contestants successfully held for 100 seconds and won full amount of Dream Scholarship.
