On August 9, Evergrande released the sales presentations of July in Hong Kong. According to the presentations, the single-month contracted sales of Evergrande in July exceeded 5 billion yuan for the first time. With the total sales amount within the year up to 26.06 billion yuan, Evergrande continued to take the lead in the industry with fulfillment rate of annual target of more than 65%.

In July 2010, the Group achieved the contracted sales of 5.08 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), setting another single-month record since 2010; the contracted sales area was 861,000 square meters, with the average contracted sales price of 5,900 yuan per square meter. The contracted sales in July of the Group increased by 172.4% compared with that in the same period of 2009. The sales area achieved a growth of 124.3% over the same period of the previous year, and the average sales price achieved a growth of 21.5% over the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the contracted sales in July increased by 5.9% compared with that in June, the sales area increased by 6.9% month on month, and the average sales prices basically broke even in June and July.

According to the presentations, the regions accounting for higher contracted sales in July included Jinan, Chengdu, Guangdong, Chongqing, Changsha and Shenyang. Among them, Jinan was a new market where the Group only entered in February this year. The development period of two projects, namely, Jinan Evergrande Oasis and Jinan Evergrande Metropolis, only took 5 months from land acquisition to being launched into the market, setting the local fastest record in Jinan, which contributed more than 20% of the sales performance for the Group in July.

From January to July 2010, the Group achieved the total contracted sales of 26.06 billion yuan, having fulfilled 65.2% of the newly adjusted full-year contracted sales target of 40 billion yuan, and continued to take the lead in the industry in respect of fulfillment rate of the annual target. The total contracted sales area was 4,200,000 square meters, and the average contracted sales price was 6,204 yuan per square meter.

For the past many years, the Group has always pursued the principle of livelihood-caring property of “building high-quality house affordable for ordinary people”, building high-quality residential houses while controlling the costs. Through rapid land acquisition and rapid development, Evergrande achieves the rapid sales of mid-priced high-quality houses, and transfers the benefit from the appreciation of land value to the ordinary people in China. Evergrande earns the reasonable profits, and simultaneously ensures the mutual interests of the society and the Group.
