On the evening of December 10, the 2011 CSL Award Ceremony was held in the studio of Guangdong Television Station. President at the ceremony were Cai Zhenhua, Deputy Director General of State General Administration of Sports, Xu Ruisheng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Wei Di, Secretary General of Chinese Football Association, Professor Hui Ka Yan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Evergrande Group, as well as the special guests of AFC, the leaders of State General Administration of Sports, the representatives of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and numerous famous players of football world. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Jianhong, a famous talk-show host of CCTV, and CCTV also made live broadcast for the CSL Award Ceremony via the sports channel for the first time.

At the grand meeting of “China Football Oscar” jointly created by Evergrande Group, CCTV and CSL Company, Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club, the new king of CSL, monopolized four most valuable awards, i.e. the champion of 2011 CSL, the club with the most sense of social responsibility, the top shooter and the most valuable player, becoming the biggest winner. Guangzhou Competition Area won the honor of the most popular competition area.

On the occasion when China Football challenges the AFC Champions League again, the leading Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club, the champion of CSL, made a banner under the title of “Sincerely Hope the Rising of China Football”, and sincerely wished China Football would rise at an early date; the Team Leader Zheng Zhi expressed the determination of gaining the best achievements of AFC Champions League with all-out sprint to the national fans on behalf of all the Evergrande players – “We will direct towards the best achievements of AFC Champions League next year, because we are on the behalf of CSL. We should extend the good situation of CSL Champion to the field of AFC Champions League!”
