The press conference for Evergrande World Snooker Championship (China) 2016 was held on October 31st 2016 in the Canton Tower, one of Guangzhou’s landmarks. It’s learned that the Evergrande World Snooker Championship (China) 2016, organized by the World Snooker Association and Chinese Billiards Association and exclusively hosted by Evergrande Group, is an A-level competition that’s been officially approved by the General Administration of Sports of China. The tournament will be held at the Guangzhou Stadium from November 1st to 5th this year.

The Evergrande World Snooker Championship (China) 2016 is currently China’s most influential international snooker tournament with the largest amount of prize and the highest-level players. The tournament this time offers the total prize up to ￡650 thousand, which makes it the most rewardful snooker event in China and second only to the World Snooker Championship. Moreover, its endorsor Ding Junhui played against Mark Selby in September’s Shanghai Masters finals; Liang Wenbo has just won the England Open in October. Stuart Bingham, Judd Trump and John Higgins, who are ranked among the world’s top 16 snooker players, will also enter the competition, which also shows the game’s high standards and values.
