Guangzhou Evergrande Team defeated Shanghai Shenhua Team at 3:0 at Tianhe Sports Center yesterday. After the competition, Guangzhou Evergrande Club held a short and grand site celebration. Mr. Zhu Mingguo, Vice Secretary of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Secretary of Committee for Disciplinary Inspection, Mr. Zhang Guangning, Standing Committee Member of Guangdong Provincial CPC and Secretary of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Mr. Zhang Guifang, Director of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal Congress, and other provincial and municipal leaders watched the competition on the site, and attended the celebration, encouraging the players of Guangzhou Evergrande Team to be brilliant again in the future, and win honor for Guangzhou Football and China Football.

Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club planned the celebration in an elaborative way, in order to fully display the images of Guangzhou Football born of fire and Southern Guangdong Football returning to the peak within a limited period of time, and in order to bring a joyful night for the fans.

In the sonorous slogan and applause of nearly 60,000 spectators on the site, the words “Guangzhou – Champion Eventually Returns Here” appeared vividly on the football field. The rapid transformation from “First CSL Champion" above the ceiling of spectator stand to “Headed for AFC Champions League” and “China Rising” on eight balloons, showing the determination of Guangzhou Evergrande Team to participate in the AFC Champions League next year, win glory for our motherland and promote the strong rising of China Football.

At the celebration after the competition, Chief Coach Lee JangSoo boasted that Evergrande Team would hold another victory celebration after the AFC Champions League next year.
