In 2010, Lee Jangsoo entered and hosted Guangzhou Evergrande Team of Chinese Football Association Professional League, and he led the team to return to Chinese Football Association Super League by virtue of the champion of Chinese Football Association Professional League in the current competition season; and this year,  Evergrande Team won the champion of Chinese Football Association Super League in this competition season with the status of "promoted team" again, bringing the "Evergrande Myth".

When the news came that Shandong Luneng Team was drawn against Beijing Guoan Team, Guangzhou Evergrande Team which triumphed over Shaanxi Team yesterday won the champion of Chinese Football Association Super League with 4 games still to play at 61 points, ahead of the runner-up Beijing Team which was 14 points, winning the first top professional league champion in the Guangzhou football history.

After the champion was announced in advance, Lee Jangsoo eventually said, "We would like to thank the nationwide fans, the Guangzhou fans and the persons who support our team all the time as well as the club for our winning of the champion. It goes without saying the contributions of the team players available to all."
