On January 23, "World Outstanding Chinese Award" granted by the United World Chinese Association came out in Hong Kong Grand Hyatt Hotel. Hui Kayan, chairman of the board of directors of the Group, was awarded such special honor and the certificate of "Honorary Doctorate of University of West Alabama" simultaneously. It’s reported that Chairman Hui was also elected as chief vice chairman of United World Chinese Association.
The reporter learned that the "World Outstanding Chinese Award" was a grand award-giving ceremony hosted by the United World Chinese Association and this was the tenth session. This award aims at praising the outstanding contributions made by Chinese from all walks of life and countries to the development and progress of the world, the social public welfare and charities. All awards are chosen according to the contributions of the award candidate to the society of the Chinese, the whole world, the social public welfare and charities based on the evaluation standards with reference to international practices.
The host, the United World Chinese Association, said, Chinese were located throughout the globe with voices heard overseas and influence the world in different regions, fields and cultures. As the Chinese emerges in the world arena omni-directionally, the United World Chinese Association (UWCA) and the International Mayor Communication Centre (IMCC) comprehensively choose and commend Chinese elites and give play to the appeal of the United World Chinese Association in the world by adhering to constant international sight and focusing on the world of the Chinese.
Hui Kayan, chairman of the board of directors of the Group, is vice chairman of China Enterprise Confederation, vice chairman of China Enterprise Director Association and vice chairman of China Real Estate Association and won the honors of “National Labor Model”, “Excellent Builder of Socialist Cause with Chinese Characteristics” and “Ten Major Chinese Philanthropists”.
Hui Kayan has also made outstanding contributions to advocate good faith operation, implement the idea of enterprise citizen, promote social employment, pay close attention to the society and people's livelihood and maintain social stability in addition to energetic structuring of a harmonious society and promotion of urban construction and harmonious development of regional economy.
