On January 5, Evergrande Real Estate Group held the performance-reporting news conference in Hong Kong, announcing its contracted sales amount in December 2009 and the whole year to investors and the media. The contracted sales amount and sales area of December of the group had respectively increased by 800.9% and 568.9% when compared with those of the same period of the previous year. From January to December of 2009, the accumulated contracted sales amount of the group had been about 30.3 billion yuan, the accumulated contracted sales area had been about 5,637,000 square meters. The target of 30 billion yuan of contracted sale amount had been successfully achieved. The contracted sales amount and sales area of the group of the whole year had been respectively increased by 402.3% and 396.5% compared with those of the previous year.

In the performance-reporting news conference, as for the regulation policies successively released in the country in the recent period, Doctor Xia Haijun, vice chairman of the board of directors and president of the group held the opinion that Chinese government would continue to encourage the domestic demand in 2010 to keep the stable economic increase, so there would not be too large change in the macro-policies. Some market measures released by the government in the previous period were mainly for the investment real estate. The medium and high-grade residences developed by Evergrande in second-tier cities are encouraged by the government, so they were not seriously influenced.
