On December 9, 2009, the Summit Meeting on the Development of Guangdong Enterprises and the Press Conference for the “10 Top Listed Companies and 10 Top Real Estate Enterprises of Guangdong in 2009” were held in Zhudao Hotel. Evergrande ranked in the top 3 of real estate enterprises.

This summit meeting was sponsored by Guangdong Federation of Enterprises and Guangdong Association of Entrepreneurs, undertaken by the magazine Southern Entrepreneurs and assisted by Sohu Finance & Economy. The sponsors stated that, in 2009, the economy of Guangdong took the lead in rebounding, but the enterprises were still in the crucial period of adjustment for the “two transfer” strategy. The summit meeting held at this juncture aims to discuss the core competitiveness of enterprises and analyze the trend of the Chinese economic situation in this year and the next year, thereby promoting the stable, sustainable and healthy development of the enterprises in Guangdong.

Meanwhile, at the summit meeting, the election results of Guangdong enterprises for the year 2009 were announced. On the list of the “10 Outstanding Real Estate Entrepreneurs of Guangdong in 2009”, Mr. Xu Jiayin, board chairman of Evergrande Group, ranks first. Evergrande was elected into the top 3 of the top 10 real estate enterprises, winning the honor for 5 years running. Evergrande Real Estate also found its way into the “10 Most Competitive Real Estate Enterprises of Guangdong in 2009”, further displaying its powerful brand competitive force.
