Baoding Stadium has never been so crowded since 27 years of establishment. The occupation is up to 70% of its 5000 seats and the vacancy is arranged for safety measures. Sports fans from nationwide arrived in crowds, aiming to watch the team-Lang’ Army. Last night Evergrande led by Lang defeated Hebei in three straight games within one hour, embarking on it way to one of the top two in Group B.

Evergrande’s starting lineup for the match included Yang Hao and Wang Li the chief spikers, Yin Meng and Hamotto the second spikers, Zhou Suhong the second setter, Feng Kun the setter and Davis the libro. They completely controlled the rhythm of the match from start, with the smooth cooperation of Christa and Feng Kun and the very “Chinese” back flight at No. 2, Evergrande won the first game with 25-9. Hebei became awakened in the second game, catching up with continuous points, which forced Lang in stillness for a first suspension. There’s no surprise and Lang’s Army won another two games at 25-15 and 25-17.

According to technical statistics, Christa scored 14 points to be the score-leader of the match while Zhou Suhong got 12 points and was the only player struggling throughout the match, hence a real “battler”.

Of course, the most brilliant star was Lang off the court. Any of her gestures may attract numerous cameras and the narrow hall for news release was too crowded with unexpected reporters. “This is the first match after I returned home, and I have a warm feeling seeing these familiar sports fans and courts.” Lang continued to comment, “The match is up to the prediction of all players’ performance and their adaptation to the environment, but they only exerted half of their potential.”

Evergrande will leave for Xiamen for the next game against Fujian, which is the “territory” of Chen Zhonghe, the present vice director of Fujian Sports Bureau. As to the reunion of “He-Ping”, Lang is expecting, “I’m much delighted to see Chen, and Zhangzhou is the paradise for Chinese women’s volleyball and I hope Evergrande can share some of its fortune.”
