Nov. 28 marks the day of a new page for Chinese volleyball history. The first professional team in genuine sense in China established by Lang Ping appeared in the league for the first time. Two world-class foreign aides also appeared in China’s league for the first time. with result that Evergrande beat Hebei at its home with 3-0. Scores for the three games are 25-9, 25-15 and 25-17.

Due to Lang’s arrival, Baoding Stadium with capacity of 5000 people was almost fully occupied. The hall for news release after match was so crowded with reporters from nationwide that one could hardly stood in it. Such an occasion has never been heard of not only in Group B but in Group A.

The starting lineup arranged by Lang included Feng Kun the setter, Yang Hao the chief spiker, Zhou Suhong the second setter. They’re former national players retired after Beijng Olympics. The second spikers were Hamotto who is a new star of American National Team and Yin Yin transferred from Hebei. Another chief spiker was Wang Li transferred from the national champion team-Tianjin. And the libro was Davis who was a leading player of American team the runner-up of Beijing Olympics.

Evergrande had evident advantages over Hebei in the three games, of which Hebei was once ahead in the second game with a score of 11-10. And most of Hebei’s points came from Evergrande’s own errors.

In the third game Lang sent Yin Yin, a former national chief spiker, on to the court, offering an opportunity for the 35-old player with child to become one part of the history.
