Evergrande Real Estate (3333) announced the Group’s contracted sales amount in September increased by 14.9% over that of August to 5.1 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), setting a new record of monthly turnover in the year again. Xia Haijun, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive President of the Group, said the Group's accumulative contracted sales amount from January to September reached 35.6 billion yuan, completing 89% of the annual contracted sales target. He believed this year’s sales amount will greatly exceed the original target of 40billion yuan, but there has been no specific plan to increase the annual sales target yet.

Evergrande’s contracted sales area in September was 796,000 square meters, and the average contracted sales price was 6,411 yuan per square meter, increasing by 13.4% and 1.3% respectively on a month-on-month basis. In September, the Group newly opened three projects, and the number of projects in sale amounted to 48. Xia Haijun said the Group will continue to sell according to demand and price changes, without any plan to adjust price nationwide for the moment.

Due to the macro-control policy issued by the central authorities at the end of last month, the Golden-week sales of the majority of the developers were affected to some extent, and Mr. Xia also admitted that the Group’s Golden-week sales amount was 40 to 50% less than what was previously expected. However, he pointed out that its projects are mainly located in the second- and third-tier cities, where the average price is not high, therefore, such impact is limited.
