On October 8, 10:30am local, Ms. Catharine Drew Gilpin Faust, President of Harvard University, met the visiting Prof. Hui Ka Yan, Member of the CPPCC Standing Committee and Chairman of Evergrande Group, and his entourage in the Massachusetts Hall, where the two sides had in-depth exchange and talks.

President Faust extended her warm welcome to Prof. Hui Ka Yan for his visit. She said Evergrande is a most powerful leading enterprise in China as well as a world known enterprise. It complies with the criteria by which Harvard selects her international strategic partners. Harvard is willing to discuss with Evergrande on cooperation.

Prof. Hui Ka Yan introduced Evergrande’s development. He said Harvard is the No. 1 famous university and the forefront of the latest technology in the world. Evergrande hopes to cooperate with Harvard to sharpen its world competitive edge. The two sides then had in-depth discussions on building green residences and reached consensus on cooperation.

It’s learned that building green residences by scientific innovation is one of Evergrande’s future strategies.
