According to the announcement made by Evergrande (HK.3333) on the night of Dec. 18, the Group had repaid the senior debt of USD 1.35 billion (approximately HKD 10.5 billion) that would be due on Jan. 27, 2015 with its own capital, the amount (applicable premium included) repaid by the Group amounted to USD 1.44 billion.  

The Group had announced its decision to repay the debt on Dec. 18 early in Nov., and Evergrande’s success in repaying the debt of over HKD 10 billion on time has proved the capital sufficiency of the Group.
