In 2009, under the influence of positive factors such as the policy and the market, the real estate market in China gets warm again, and significantly fuels and contributes to the economic growth. In this appraisal, deep research and comprehensive evaluation are conducted over the real estate enterprises in China in terms of their scale, profitability, growth speed, steadiness and operation efficiency, and the Top Ten Real Estate Enterprises in Comprehensive Capacity among Top One Hundred Real Estate Enterprises in China in 2010 are finalized. Evergrande lives up to the people's expectations and continues to hold the title of Top Ten Real Estate Enterprises in Comprehensive Capacity among Top One Hundred Real Estate Enterprises in China for consecutively the seventh time, and ranks the fifth. According to the judging panel, Evergrande shows a strong development momentum and steady corporate strength in 2009, and is featured by its large scale, good profitability, rapid growth, strong steadiness and high operation efficiency.

It is reported that at present, Evergrande has owned more than 50 projects in more than 20 major cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing, including Evergrande Palace, Evergrande Oasis and Evergrande Splendor. Throughout the year of 2009, the contract sales amount of Evergrande reaches 30.3 billion yuan, rising by 402.3% compared with that in the same period of last year. In November 2009, Evergrande was successfully listed at Hong Kong Exchange Union, and the closing price of its shares appreciated by 34.28% than the issue price, setting a record of the total market value of 70.5 billion Hong Kong dollars. Evergrande becomes the non-state-owned real estate enterprise of China with the largest market value in Hong Kong.

While developing rapidly, Evergrande has been shouldering its corporate responsibility for more than a decade and contributing to the charity and public welfare establishments. It ranks the first in The Enterprises with Social Responsibility in 2010 this time, which justifies the saying “Fame follows merit”. According to the statistics, Evergrande has made more than 100 donations to such fields as education, poverty alleviation, disaster relief, public security, sports and other public welfare establishments, totaling up to several hundred million yuan. In July 2009, Evergrande made a donation of 30 million yuan to launch the Charity Walks for Millions, with the aim of helping ten types of people who are in exceptional poverty in China. This is the most important large-scale public welfare activity of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation featured by the largest amount of donation in 2009.
