In order to enrich people's cultural life and boom the cultural development, Evergrande sponsored Evergrande Idol, a large variety show with high quality, co-organized by Guangzhou TV Station, Guangzhou Group for Radio, Film, and Television, and Evergrande Performance Troupe. The show is on air at 21:00-22:30 of each Saturday night since December 29, 2012 over the General Channel of GZTV.

On December 21, a press conference related to Evergrande Idol was held in Guangzhou TV Station, and several leaders from Guangzhou TV Station, and Guangzhou Group for Radio, Film, and Television, attended the conference, including Fu Yan, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Guangzhou TV Station, Feng Tiemin, General Manager of Guangzhou Group for Radio, Film, and Television, Ning Xiaozhou, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Group for Radio, Film, and Television, famous director, and Chief Artistic Consultant of Evergrande Idol, and Zhi Keng, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Group for Radio, Film, and Television. In addition, leaders from Evergrande Cultural Industry Group, jury representatives such as Yan Yidan, famous record producer within China Mainland, and He Haopeng, famous host in Guangdong and senior planner, and candidates of “City Beauties Pageant” all participated in such opening ceremony.
