In the eye-catching game of CSL’s 28 rounds played on the night of October 23rd, Guangzhou Evergrande beat Yanbian Fude on home court with a tie of 1:1 and clinched the title ahead of two rounds, which unprecedentedly made six consecutive champions in the history of CSL.

Guangzhou Evergrande had surpassed the second position’s Jiangsu Suning by 6 points prior to the game though it had played one game less, thus it would win the championship only by earning one point against Yanbian Fude.

As the match kicked off, Evergrande soon dominated on the field with frequent missed goals. Liu Dianzuo made two diving saves at Yanbian Fude’s fierce counterattack. Evergrande led the game 1:0 in the first half’s extra time when Huang Bowen took the corner, Goulart made a flick-on header and Paulinho caught it and scored with foot arch .

Evergrande continued its firm control on the court in the second half yet missed a chance of another score as Huang Bowen's free kick narrowly goaled. In the 88th minute, Yanbian Fude tied the game in an gorgeous attack when Kim Seung-Dae made a cross pass cutting from the left and Yoon Bit-Garam caught the ball and scored a shot with his right foot arch Liu Dianzuo failed to save. The final score was 1:1 since Evergrande then began to continuously make rolling passes in the backcourt and Yanbian Fude failed to intercept, from which Evergrande smoothly took the championship ahead of two rounds of games.
