On the morning of the 12th day, "Lang Ping Return Welcoming Ceremony" was held in Guangzhou Evergrande Hotel. That’s the first time Lang Ping returned home to serve as coach after leaving Chinese volleyball circle twelve years ago. As one of the world's most influential people, Lang Ping’s return attracted unprecedented attention. Cai Dongshi, vice chairman of Guangdong Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, Xu Ruisheng, vice mayor of Guangzhou City, Xu Li, head of the Volleyball Management Center under the General Administration of Sport of China and so on attended the ceremony, over 300 reported with nearly 200 global media took part in the activities and over ten media, including Guangdong Star TV, Guangdong TV News Channel, Sina and Sohu, broadcast the whole process of the ceremony live.

      Lang Ping settled down to become a new Guangzhou resident, which Liu Jiangnan, head of Guangzhou Sports Bureau, warmly welcomed on behalf of Guangzhou people. Liu Jiangnan said that it’s of especially important significance that Lang Ping returned home to join the Evergrande Volleyball Club before the Asian Games would start soon because it’s not only a huge support for the sports of Guangdong Province, but also a magnificent part of meeting the opening of the Asian Games movement.

At the welcoming ceremony, Dr. Xia Haijun, vice chairman of the board of directors of and president of Evergrande Real Estate Group, said the objective of Evergrande Volleyball Club had been to build a world-class team since its establishment and that all the current work was advanced steadily and in order. It made perfection more perfect that Lang Ping joined Evergrande to coach its women's volleyball team, so the team was confident in becoming a world-class volleyball club as soon as possible.
      Xu Li, head of the Volleyball Management Center, expressed his support for Coach Lang Ping’s returning home to coach Evergrande Women's Volleyball Club. The establishment of Evergrande Volleyball Club and Lang Ping’s returning home to coach it have added new blood to the development of Chinese professional volleyball and are bound to make a useful exploration in solving the lack of funds, the backward operation mechanism, the lack of new players and the low-level professionalism to actively contribute to promoting Chinese professional volleyball in the direction of healthy and mature development!

As one of the organizers of the activities, Evergrande Real Estate Group attached great importance to Lang Ping’s coaching Evergrande Women’s Volleyball. At the welcoming ceremony, Prof. Xu Jiayin, chairman of the board of directors of Evergrande Real Estate Group, personally appeared to award a letter of appointment to Coach Lang Ping, and Xu Ruisheng, vice mayor of Guangzhou City, also came to the scene to send  Coach Lang Ping a special gift on behalf of Guangzhou.

Lang Ping's return is of important significance, particularly in the current market downturn of Chinese volleyball. Although she doesn’t coach the national women's volleyball team, she will play a key role in promoting the professionalism of Chinese volleyball.
      Evergrande Women's Volleyball Club was incorporated by Evergrande Real Estate Group with 20 million yuan. As the first China’s professional volleyball club, it operates in full accordance with the mode of the enterprise. It comprises a series of sound and scientific organizations such as an office, an administrative department, an operation and development department, a member department, a financial department and a department of legal affairs, creating the first “new mode” of a self-financing, self-survival and self-development volleyball club in China. Evergrande Volleyball Club has "recruited" a lot of women's volleyball elite across China, most of whom once worked for the “state” volleyball team, so its team is very strong. Last May, Evergrande Women’s Volleyball Club defeated Guangdong Women's Volleyball Team with a score of 3 versus 2. As the first commercially operating team in China, the operation mode of Evergrande Women’s Volleyball Club has created a pioneering mode of a purely professional Chinese volleyball club, which has been strongly supported by China Volleyball Association.

Why Evergrande Volleyball Club managed to engage Coach Lang Ping? That’s one of the common focuses of the world's media, and Coach Lang Ping disclosed that to the media. Lang Ping said that she finally chose Evergrande Volleyball Club for lots of reasons. In the contact process, Evergrande and Chairman Xu Jiayin demonstrated a great deal of sincerity, which deeply moved Lang Ping, and Lang Ping thought highly of Evergrande’s unrelenting pursuit of sports over the years. Lang Ping said that the good development prospect of Evergrande Volleyball Club made her fully confident of its future.
