Faced with the sluggish market and the continuous macro-controls, the sales momentum of Evergrande keeps going forward, and the monthly sales keeps going up on a year-on-year and month-on-month basis. On April 11, Evergrande released its performance in Hong Kong, and declared that the sales of the Group by April 2011 reached 6.15 billion yuan, increasing by 64.5% compared with 3.74 billion yuan in 2010, and increasing by 11.5% compared with 5.52 billion yuan in March. The outstanding sales performance adds points to the comprehensive strength of Evergrande. According to the evaluation of China Real Estate Association and other agencies, the Group has ranked the second among the listed top 100 real estate enterprises.

Data show that from January to April of 2011, the total sales of Evergrande is 25.95 billion yuan, increasing by 113.9% compared with 12.13 billion yuan in the same period of 2010. The total contract sales area is 3.731 million square meters, increasing by 97.1% compared with 1.893 million square meters in the same period of 2010. With the sales target of 70 billion yuan for 2011, the Group has completed 37% of the whole-year target by the end of April.

In April 2011, a series of macro-control policies including restricted purchase and restricted price are having further impact on the real estate market in China. However, Evergrande progressed into the third-tier cities in advance and kept away from the first-tier and second-tier cities which are severely impacted by the policies.

Since officially entering the third-tier cities in March 2010, the Group has had selling projects in 20 third-tier cities in 11 provinces by the end of April of 2011. All of the 5 new projects of the Group launched in April 2011 are located in the third-tier cities, including Haibei, Danyang, Qujing, Peiling and Zigong. The total sales of the month of these new projects is 1.34 billion yuan.
